Tuning an A

YTers, I need help tuning a miss out of a Farmall A. I never was a great mechanic, just a parts changer, and I've forgotten anything I ever knew about conventional ignition and fuel systems. The A has a subtle miss at any throttle setting unless it is under load. In a pull, it sounds good. I replaced the cap, rotor and plug wires in the course of the restoration; took the carb apart and set the float level and cleaned it up. Fiddled with the timing. Nothing has helped. Any suggestions before I start throwing parts at it?
