Charging/Light Switch on 48 Super A

I have beening reading some back posts on generators and how they work. I dug into my generator and wiring last night and started to trace the wires out using a ohmmeter. The charging/light switch has four wires attaching to it. One from the fuse, one from the field terminal of the genreator, one from the headlights and one wire that comes out of the box that is cut off and goes no where. I am un able to determine what is it should be connected to.
I know I need to buy a manual and I will as soon as another pay day or two rolls around. DOes anyone have a manual that they could tell what this other wire goes to?
