Tom float is just what it says. SAY on a loader you would hock the lift to the float valve and the bucket to the other valve, that way you will have pressure to lift a load pressure to push down to make the loader dig or if you put the valve in float the loader will have no pressure up or down and will float along the ground I use float to level off lane alot so it will not dig. So it means you have no pressure up or down on that valve when in float, the other valve well work the way it should all the time.
