Iron guard paint.... I have a question

I bought 11 arosol cans if 2150 red for my 510 drill and spent almost around $60 for the paint. I was told that the Iron Gaurd is not as good as the paint that you have mixed at paint dealer's and was also told that it fades. I just tried some of it on a press wheel and it has that same awful smell as that paint the Country General sold BPS brand. And I remember it fading quickly also. Who makes Iron Guard? Could it be BPS? Did I throw my $$ away on this paint? Thanks guys for any information. R Wyler
