I just was in the dealer picking up parts and we talked about this. First standard motor oil used in the crankcase is to be used. Next fill the assembly to a point were when you turn the fill hole down wards that any extra oil will drain out. If you put oil in and have no oil drip out then you need to add more. Again you can over fill but bye turning over and letting the excess drain out you will have it filled just like the factory wanted it to be.
