Most 40's early 50's letter series used IH 50. This was replaced by a slightly darker color, IH 2150, sometime in the late 50's. Purists prefer to use IH 50 on older tractors. Case-IH sells premixed 2150, but not IH 50, or you can have a paint place mix either 2150 or 50 -- it will be better paint. Case-IH is the minimum standard. Do NOT buy so called IH red paint from a farm store, it is inferior. Maple Hunter Decals 812-894-9759 has decals, including die-cut or vinyl (no film between the letters). Case-IH sells the cheaper decals, as do numerous other places.
