As far as the block being bored, I really don't think many people would go with having the bottom of the block bored and a new ring cut into the bottom of the block. I know this is rather cost prohibitive in the A thru C blocks when compared to purchasing a good used block, but I do know people who have done this on F12 & 14s to run 3-1/4" Clevite G275HCH assemblies for pulling tractors, but in that instance the cost didn't matter. I have probably sold over 100 sets of pistons and sleeves for the C113 & 123 engines and have never encountered a block that has been altered.
