I recently had starter problems myself. Autozone here has not been a lot of help. I went to O'Reillys auto parts, they could get me a new one in 2 days. The price was $123. I ended up taking it to a man that rebuilt it, armature and all, for $30. My starter would run just fine off the battery or a battery charger, but it didn't have enough umph when installed. What caused the problem with my starter was my push button switch stuck and burned the armature. O'Reillys had a new switch on the shelf for $9. Good luck.
