Scott - On Farmall M's a longer cap screw can be installed in one of the transmission cover bolt holes to lock out 5th gear. (It's to be installed when the tractor is equipped with steel wheels) . Gotta think W-6/O-6/I-6 series are similarly capable of having 5th locked out. If so, finding that cap screw and swapping it for a shorter one will bring back your high gear. I recall the capscrew's located at front of the cover and toward the left of the shifter, though without a manual I cannot be positive. Perhaps someone else can provide more info….
