I wish my memory was better, but it has been a couple years since I had the problem. It seems like it was doing the same thing, and I also had been through the carb recently. I believe I finally removed the carb again, and thoroughly cleaned/blew out all passages and reassembled and the problem went away. I never knew what was causing the problem, but suspect it was simply a bit of dirt or? in a passage in the carb. Mine has the Carter UT carb on it. I am hoping I don't start having problems as it has not been ran much over the last year, and I am getting ready to put it to work soon. Good luck.
