Great story, MJD. You know there are stories like yours and mine all through this 'old tractor' hobby. Don't know why, maybe its the folks with some ag background (or their parents), or the ....something with a motor and movement that always appears facinating to young folks (and men), ...or the universal smile-when-it-starts mentality of the people working on the older stuff, .... or 'war' stories that inevitably are told when old tractor folks get together, ....or the fact that when you are working on this old iron-- you can actually see what you (and helpers) have accomplished, so many of us work in occupations where we can't point to an accomplishment and say we did that when we are done-- sometimes I need some physical proof! ... I dunno but there are some very redeeming reasons to be in this hobby. Glad to hear your story!
