What a timely post! Today our 140 surged and nothing would stop it short of shutting it off. At first I thought it was something to do with the governor, but I took off the link between the governor and carb and it still surged. And that was with me holding the carb linkage in the fully closed position. I guess that rules out the governor. I can't see anything wrong with the carb as it ran fine until today when it started with the surge. Any help would be appreciated.
