Andy: Depending on whether or not you're a big stickler for authenticity, you can also replace the amp gauge with an automotive model. Napa or any similar store carries gauges that will fit in the same hole--that's what I did with my '45. I also replaced the amp gauge with a volt gauge instead--it's easier to wire and lets you know if your battery is fully charged.
