When I was a kid in the late 50's my dad used a '48 H with a two row mounted corn picker. No idea what model it was. We farmed hilly ground in northeast Nebraska. I don't recall Dad ever complaining about lack of power or anything. Only problem was when he got his hand cought in it and lost a thumb and two fingers. Not the fault of the H. He is just one of many old time farmers that didn't always practice safety first.
