I have never leased but have spoken with A LOT of people about them, just like you are doing, to see if that is what would be good for me. Everyone thinks they are great going into the lease because you can get more car/truck by leasing than you can for an equal loan payment. The VAST majority of the people I have spoken too have been unhappy when it is time to get out. They are usually over mileage so it costs them a lot to get out, or they want to get out early for some reason, and they find it costs so much to get out of the lease they are essentially tied to it until the lease is over. I like it when other people learn the hard lessons for me and I don't have to go through the experience myself. Leases are like babies, a lot more fun going in than coming out.
