The gas carb also has a jet under the plug. Not supposed to be adjustable on the gas engine. However the main jet on the gas, dist/ker are the same. The washer on your plug is the same as the washer that is supposed to be with your needle. My SA and C both have the gas engine, haven't tried what you are doing.
