HB: The change that was made was to accomodate larger pistons and sleeves in the Super C with the C-123 engine. What they did with Super A after that was use a thicker wall sleeve for the C-113 engine. Since the Super C came out in 1951, it is reasonable that IH may have been sampling this change. Probably didn't use full scale until 53 as they probably had a stock of old type blocks. I don't know this to be fact, just a hunch.
