On the M, you need a new + cable. Don't buy one of those clamp-on ends, they are a temporary fix & IMHO, a poor one at that. If its an original 6V, get the heaviest cable you can find, & replace the - cable as well, its probably shot, too. You won't believe how much better that M will start w/new, heavy cables! Remember that M was + ground when it came from the factory. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)
