Take your starter off and have a reputable starter shop go thru it. After years of service the armature can become warped and the brushes make poor contact. You won't believe it when you get it back.. It should be about 90.00 to rebuild it, about 40.00 cheaper if the drive is ok.. Trust me I have had several done for my customers and it is well worth it.
