The transmission, rear end & PTO fluids are all the same. Fluid is added through the hole in the deck with a plug in it between the clutch & the gear shift. Capacity is 5 gallons, I believe. I use a 90wt oil. To check the level, standing behind the tractor, look on the right side of the rear end housing for a plug (not far below the deck). Remove this plug and add fluid until it comes out here.

You should really consider purchasing an owner's manual from Binder Books. It's amazing the stuff you learn from one that you "thought" you knew.
