If you are lucky, all you need is an o-ring. If the o-ring has caused a deep groove in the shaft it will still leak. Then you will need to have the shaft repaired by a machine shop that knows the proper procedure, as you don't want to get it too hot. I tried using a speedy sleeve to cover the groove, but found that I could not reassemble the pump with the sleeve in place.
