Frank, I can tell you what I did to my super c after working on it off and on for about five years. It worked exactly as you described. I always thought the problem was in that valve ahead of the seat that the hoses go through to get to the cylinder. I had it apart several times and could'nt see anything wrong. The last time I drilled out two of the ports where the hoses go in. I don't remember which two or what size drill bit. If you look at it I think one port is angle drilled and one is already as big as it could be leaving the other two. Mine works great. Sometimes it does'nt get started for three or four months and the hitch never drops a bit.
