Make sure the generator has a cutout regulator on it, not a voltage regulator. On the BN, a voltage regulator is possible, but not likely. If your neighbors H has a mag it likely has a cutout regulator, if distributer, voltage regulator. Most likely your BN has a mag. Differences are in the operator's manual, if you don't have one for your BN, perhaps your neighbor has one for his H.
