I think if you can move any of the attachmwnts connected to the rockshaft while engine is not running the rebuild kit is only answer. You obviously have one valve or cylinder in better condition than the other. Your problem I would guess is right in those small hydraulic ram which activate the rockshaft. Those are indeed your hydraulic cylinders and what you are getting is by passing within that one cylinder. When you get inside that touch control unit there are guys on here that know more than I. I seem to be quite blessed having never had one appart in 45 years. I think these little hydraulic systems (touch control) could run forever trouble free if kept full of oil. Problem is a lot of them were bought new by older men who thought if you weren't using hydraulics don't worry about the maintainence of system. They didn't realize system was in some respects similar to their own heart and circulation system, in that without the fluid damage will result. The main problem with touch control was the resivoir being small even a very small leak could drain the system quite quickly. So some of these units have at times over the years gotten quite hot. I know a guy with larger tractor with loader, broke main high presure line from pump, loader was up at time so he thought it wouldn't hurt to drive it home, about 1/2 mile. By the time he got home smoke was coming off pump. He fixed the broken line, refilled with fluid and wondered why it wouldn't work. Well a pump and a few hunderd dollars later he was going again. But his problem was far from over, grindings from the pump had gone through the system. Before he was done with it he bought a second pump and countless other items. His hydraulic system never did work right again. I tell you this as this is the type of thing a lot of these tractors have been through. There is something to be said for the saying ," growing up with the system". A lot of guys that bought letter series Farmalls were replacing a horse. I would if I were you put the call out to guys who have changed these rebuild kits.
