Yes, you should be able to put one in. It had one originally. My question about casting codes was because of the possibility the trans/differential has been replaced by one from a Cub Cadet. Since it has the lever, the plot thickens. Look for the letter on the left side of the transmission case. It should look like this...*1*20*T* The last digit should be S ot T. George Willer
