Brad: It depends..... I needed to repair the bore of the driven pulley on a hydraulic pump, and I used JB weld to do it--so far, it's been 2 years without any problems. On the other hand, high-stress applications may not hold up. The key (like most repairs) is surface prep. If I were you, I'd try it--the most you'll be out is a tube of JB weld, provided that you don't hook up the biggest implement you have and flog it to death before making sure it will hold.
