Don't know what others will tell you, but IMO that is normal! Our M-TA used to be our one and only tractor when we first started out.........Pulled 3-14's and disk in the spring, raked and baled hay in the summer, and was on a mtd. picker in the fall.........It shared the work with the landlords JD B and 620(Didn't use the 620 much)...........It got so hot it cooked the Farmall decal right off the hood! If you were pulling a disc in 4th gear I am sure it(manifold) was getting warm............This is normal........I don't know what you could do to stop it.......If you want to keep it nice, don't use it hard, but if you are going to use it(Like we do) they don't stay "Showroom" new for too long........Scatches and burnt decals come with the territory!!!
