Very old IH sicle mower identity ??

I have recently purchased a '37 model F-12 for parts. It has a 7' sicle mower (IH) attached that I believe may be a Model #12 from the 1934/1935 productions. It fits the physical descriptions of the #12 from parts books (attaches to drawbar, hand lever and foot lever over rear axle to adjust mow height, no rear wheel, etc.). Does anyone know how to identify the model number of a mower? Main gear box has part number stenciled into the top that begins with "M12". Is this a clue? Any help appreciated. May also be willing to sell to a mower collector. Please e-mail. Thanks.
