Jim, you're right in saying mileage affects performance (engine,trans,brakes,steering,rust, etc), what I was suggesting is that the Ford has quite a few miles on it compared to the 2001 Dodge. The only truck I got to drive to compare the Ford to was the Dodge. I can't speak for the newer Chevy at all, haven't drove one enough to determine for myself where it stands. The friend's Dodge with all the miles on it was mentioned but not used for hauling comparison is because it's a one ton dually with diferent(steeper) rear gears, but seems worthy as far as reliability. Now, I again take a side step, not wanting a brand war. G'luck, Dennis.
