Harold H: Thanks again. The test changeover break you mention started with Test #0684 in 1959 of the Fordson Dexta Diesel. This was the first test taken at the PTO shaft of test units to measure MBHP. Belt pulley equipped tractors were falling out of favor at this time. All future tests were taken at the PTO for MBHP. Mr. Wendel makes note of the changed testing parameter and concedes that comparison of tractors tested the old way at the belt vs the PTO would be a bit misleading. (Don't quite remember his exact quote--dang Brother's got my book--again!) C.H. Wendel had compiled a list of MBHP figures in an Appendix in his book indexed by fuel economy figures. Beginning with Test #0684, the listed MBHP figures jive with Test C for MBHP described in the text for each test unit. Figures prior to 1959 do not square up exactly. What are the corrected for sea level figures for the Farmall 460 Gas, 504 Gas, and 400 Gas?
