I'm sure you check and double checked that your hose's are all on correctly. It sounds an lot like pressure build up is the problem, thus something is backwards. Did that once on my 340 and acted the same way when working with the front loader. Also had a problem with low hyd fluid, replaced the pump and hoses, hyd's would not work at all, put ten gallons in, though it was enough, it wasn't, had to put in another 5 gal to make up for filters, hyd lines, pump, cylinders.
