I have a 350 utility; I would check the transmission first to see if it had fluid in it the trans . and rear end .They take gear-oil there is no hyd. in the belly of that tractor ; the reservoir sits on top of tractor underneath the seat of my tractor and is independent and Will not draw any fluid from the belly of the tractor;the next thing I would check would be; is {leaks]if there is leaks they would be coming out the weep holes underneath the tractor ;that means the seals are bad and if you run anything else besides gearoil you will have leaks; the next thing I would check which is ;I believe is the main problem is the clutchs;the main clutch first then the T/A if the main clutch is wore out the tractor will not pull and the shrill you heard could be coming from the release bearing not the T/A itself; of course The T/A clutch could be worn out to. but as far as I can tell about the price that would be up to you to judge abought that.
