The sleeves are not secured by the interference fit in the block the top of the sleeve protrudes above deck and that holds the sleeve in. I have herd of people painting sleeves with aluminum paint to get a better fit and it also helps conduct heat from the sleeve to the block. Unless you did something bad when you removed the old ones I would just put loctite on it and forget it.
