I hate to say it, but yesterday I put a new battery in my Ford 3000 diesel that hadn't been cranked in a year and a half and, after a shot of ether, it jumped to life as if I had just shut it down the day before. The diesels are a lot less trouble to work on, but not nearly as much fun as the red gas ones. I intend to clean up and paint the 3000 and get rid of it, and look for something red that needs some TLC. Don't get me wrong, the 3000 is one helluva tractor. I'm just a red man at heart!
