Thought I'd replace the springs in the distributor since the spark advance wasn't working. Now it won't start. What I did: - Removed distributor cap. - Marked a lineup line. - Removed 2 bolts. - Pulled out distributor, small amount of hydraulic fluid comes out. - Took apart distributor, found it oily and gummy down by the weights/springs. Springs very weak. Took out points and condenser when I didn't need to (DOH!). - Got new springs ($26 ouch). - Used carb cleaner to get grunge off all parts. - Several hours later kicked myself for not taking photos so I knew how to reassemble for sure. - Put things in like I remembered, put points spring and condenser wire on the bolt. (that right?) - Reassembled, set points to about .020". - Found the carb cleaner removed my lineup mark. - Installed distributor close to where I think it was. - Turned engine to where TDC mark lined up with the pointer. - Rotated the distributor until #1 plug sparks. - Tighten down distributor, install plugs verifying order. - Try to start. It seemed like it wanted to start but just wasn't quite there. Tried turning the distributor both ways. One way it would sound a little more like starting, other way it would too after you got so far but it would also backfire like a gunshot. So, any ideas what I did wrong? Really was wanting to use this tractor tomorrow. Thanks. Wish the service and operators manuals would arrive.

No. I am just happy to have their friendship. At least the word "farmer" is in my title. But what is the attraction? How can I explain the sensation and exhilaration I feel when I turn the key and hear the engine come to life (most
