Indeed more than an afternoon job !. The brake bands that I ordered from walts tractor parts. Came with new brake rods attached. And he is right you should indeed replace the axle seals that are in the trans housing, and these can be very difficult to get out( at least in my case ) Just to add a little to the other post. Once you get the final drives off inspect your brake drums if they are badly pitted you should remove them and have a machine shop turn them, If they are not pitted and are in good shape, rough them up a bit with same sandpaper. If your changing the axle seals dont forget to drain the transmission oil first or you will have a heck of a mess. Overall the job is not hard , its just time consuming. If you have any other questions or need help drop me an e-mail at (mirgon@ohiohills.com) and I will try to help. Good luck Jon Mirgon
