I thought a 56 series front end would work too, but I recently bought a wide front end off a International 656 HC sight-unseen, but when I had it delivered to my house I noticed that there was no way I could get it to mount on the Farmall 706. The 656 WFE had a piston mounted on the WFE for power steering and the way it mounted to the frame was different than the 706. Perhaps if I should have gotten a Farmall 56 series rather than a International 656 HC? Either way, now I have a 656 HC front-end sitting in my yard that I can't use for anything. I guess I should have asked for pictures before buying it.
