Thanks for the suggestion. I ended up cutting the hole - it only ended up being about a 1/4" wider after I welded a threaded pipe the correct size onto the muffler. This is my first tractor project and I want to do it right but she is going to be used, not shown so I want to try to save some $$ if you know what I mean! It's great to be able to research almost any question I have in this forum. I have the shop & operators manual for this tractor but without this "extra" help I would be lost! Danny
