Troy, does your starter have an aftermarket reduction in it ? I recently took the transmission cover off & found out that someday if I need to do starter repair, I will have to take the belt pulley housing off first to remove the starter. If the reduction wasn't there, I wouldn't need to do anything but take the starter off.
