You have to remove the complete PTO assembly from the tractor. Drain the transmission and take out the 6 bolts that hold it to the transmission housing. Take the four bolts out that hold on the belt pulley first and remove that first. After all 6 bolts are out you can slide the complete PTO assembly out. Once that is out, the PTO gear has to come off the shaft which may require a puller. Don't try to drive out the shaft, as the woodruff key in the gear will keep you from driving it through the housing. Since yours is broken, the shaft and gear may come out to the inside without removing the gear. You will need to gaskets and seals to do the job right. If you have the belt pulley be sure to get the "o" ring seal for it.
