I bought a 1967 Farmall 706 Gas burner w/ a narrow front end this weekend. The front rims that are on the tractor now look tooooo wide to me, judging from the old archival photos I have seen of 706's. (I think they came off a later model tractor w/ a WFE. I saw the same wheel / tire combination today on a Farmall 666 WFE.) The current tires are 7.50-16's. I bought some 4.5" rims today, same as the 16" rims on my '65 424 International. My local tire dealer is trying to sell me 6.00-16's - I think that is one size too small. (I think I need at LEAST 6.50-16's.) My question is: What size tires and rims did the 706's come fro the factory with?
