Well Bill, at least you've got it running. Many times, even if you make all these checks right, you can't seem to get the results you should......one rule of thumb to follow when working with these ole 6 volt machines is "Clean, bright and tight" Always keep all electrical connections in good shape and it will improve the starting ability. I think another word of advice I would give you is...when you are working on an ignition problem always make sure your battery has a "full charge". I learned this from an old ford that I have. It wouldn't start but ran fine if I jump-started or coast-started it. I replaced the battery cables and cleaned all electrical connections and from that time on it would start within about 2 revolutions of the engine. I'm glad you've got your machine running.....just think of all the fun you had ....smile!...not to mention the experience for "next time". Gary
