About a week ago, I posted requesting how to adjust the governor control/throttle linkage on my Super C. I lengthed the throttle linkage from the governor as you suggested and, after adding a washer behind the spring on the governor control rod, everything is performing just as I had hoped. Smooth, complete acceleration now. Thanks for the advice! Oh, yeah...My 15 year-old tractor buddy & I started the tear-down on a '47 B today, given to us by an old tractor mechanic who has too many irons in the fire. It runs good, has an exterior hairline crack in the block, but we think we can either braise or weld it up just fine. Looks to be restorable to original. Will keep you posted.
