Huston: First place I would look is points and condencer. I presume you have current coming in wire from switch to coil, test light will confirm that one. Also inside distributor cap have you any corosion from sitting. Make sure terminals inside cap and rotor are clean. I will also tell you this, they may cost more but I have a lot more success and a lot better longeviety from CaseIH on ignition parts. When I refurbished my 140 this spring I found a set of points that did not even look same as CaseIH points. They looked as though shape was not right to make good contact in any system. No matter what I tried the terminals did not meet fair on.
