Bob, The Farmall started production in 1939, the Super A started 1947 I think. The Super A had the touch control hydraulic unit under the gas tank. The A1 followed the Super A. So that tractor would have the hydraulic unit also. The serial numbers are under the seat on the support and also stamped under the #1 spark plug on the block. You can check the serial number off to the left of this site. scotty
