My buddy & I got the '67 706 Gas (that I bought a little over a week ago) into his shop last night to start the engine rebuuild. We took the head & oil pan off, got the #1 piston out of the block and started looking for the edges of the sleeves... but we do not see any sleeves. I thought this engine was supposed to have sleeves in it. Anybody have a theory as to what is going on here? Is it possible that the original engine has been removed and replaced w/ a combine or cotton picker engine? Any help from folks who have more experience than I do would be appreciated.
