12 Volt Factory Option on a W-9?????????????????

There is a 1945 W-9 advertised on E-Bay that the seller says is equiped with an orginal factory optional 12 volt system. I am not sure that I can buy that but does anyone know for sure. Bob M or Guy Fay maybe you will answer???????

Were 12 volt batteries, light bulbs, starters, or generators, even made in 1945?????? I do know that most 12 volt system cars appeared in the mid 1950's
