Per, The serial nos for B250..... 501 - 3935 1956 3936 - 16026 1957 16027 - 23467 1958 23468 - 26897 1959 26898 - 29063 1960 29064 - 30260 1961 This would make yours a 1957 model. B250s were IH answer to the little Ferguson. IH bought a factory at Bradford that had belonged to the Jowett car company and made the B250, B275 and (I think) the B414. All of these were very good tractors and many are still working on farms in Lincolnshire and also Wales. Engine BD144. 30hp. 3 3/8 inches bore X 4 inches stroke. max revs 1,750. Glow plug starting indirect injection diesel.5 forward 1 reverse gears. First small IH tractor to be fitted with disc brakes and also a diff-lock. I think that I have read somewhere that Hydraulics were a factory fitted extra but I`m not sure. For weights and dimensions etc. I will have to find another book that is lost at the moment, I will get back to you as soon as possible. Rastas.( Richard Spencer)

Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
