Brian: Just curious how bad is this labouring of the engine on hydraulic function. It will always be enough that you will notice on sound of engine. These tractors were that way when they when the were new. I'm not quite sure if this gets less noticeable as tractor accumulates some hours or you just get used to it.

If however, this is dropping rpm's then you must have a restriction somewhere. Presure relief would be first place to look. Brian's cure tells you a lot. Another item I had happen one time was on left side one rockshaft was catching on the other but this caused restriction both ways.
