I have an (a) and the final drives are noisey to, i believe it is the gears , as I have replaced all the seals and bearings in both sides. And they are still just a s noisey. I have read a lot of posts on this here, and from what everyone else says it is pretty much normal for these tractors, I am pretty sure that the a,b, and bn farmalls all have the same final drives on them.
